WEBSPHERE MQ

New Configuration tooling
WebSphere MQ V6.0 introduces new, enhanced configuration tooling based on the open-source, award-winning Eclipse Workbench technology. Improving on the tooling of prior releases, this new WebSphere MQ explorer enables you to configure your WebSphere MQ network remotely from Windows and Linux Intel. Now you can, for example, configure WebSphere MQ for z/OS V6.0 resources running on zSeries from your personal Linux notebook, without the need to be running a WebSphere MQ Server locally. Whilst WebSphere MQ V5.3 deployments can be configured with this new tooling, WebSphere MQ for z/OS V5.3 or prior z/OS deployments cannot.
In addition, you can now administer and configure WebSphere MQ resources across the network via intermediate queue managers. To prevent unauthorised changes, connections from the tooling to your WebSphere MQ network can be protected with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
